Q & A with Danielle

What do you do at Konichiwa? I help create stories, names and taglines (the building blocks of valuable brands) as well as collaborating on strategic marketing campaigns. As a copywriter, I write everything from website content to product packaging and scripts for social media videos, using language to grab audiences’ attention and inspire them to take action. Why do you love working with independently minded businesses? Because the spirit of independence and creativity is what drives the positive change I want to see in the world. Working with entrepreneurs who put their heart and soul into developing their business is so rewarding. What inspires you? Seeing social entrepreneurs build their businesses from the ground up, turning an inspired idea into a fully functioning enterprise that delights customers and ploughs money back into social change. What do you do when you’re not working at Konichiwa? I enjoy singing, capoeira (a blend of martial arts and dance from Brazil), and cooking up delicious meals from my veg box. What tips would you give businesses when it comes to copywriting? Always write for your audience – really know who they are and imagine yourself in their shoes. What fires them up might be different from what interests you!
