Zoey is a blogger and social media influencer from Malaysia and has come on board Konichiwa for a Summer internship. She has been involved in the industry since she was 16, intrigued with the ins and outs of social media marketing.
She is currently studying PR, marketing and journalism at Bristol UWE and has already worked with brands from different backgrounds; mainly beauty, fashion, F&B and tourism.
She loves creating content and her talents lie in creating visuals, write-ups and engaging videos.
Q & A with Zoey
What do you do at Konichiwa? I’m an intern at Konichiwa. If I’m not scheduling posts for Konichiwa's for social media, I'm either copywriting or creating content for the website and occasionally acting as a community manager. Why do you love working with independently minded businesses? Independent businesses have lots of room for flexibility in terms of creativity and I love that. It also helps the local community grow together which means a lot. What inspires you? I’m inspired by success. I get a rush of adrenaline when I witness success and that motivates me everyday to do what I do! What do you do when your not working at Konichiwa? I’m probably in university, working as a waitress part time or just hanging out with a couple of friends. What tips would you give businesses when it comes to content creation? The content you create needs to tell a story and it has to resonate with the campaign or brand. Most people overlook that, content put out has to be relatable to see results.
